Honeysuckle-Pink Tatarian
The Pink Tatarian Honeysuckle, Lonicera tatarica, originated in Southern Russia and Turkistan. Tatarian Honeysuckle is a tolerant, reliable shrub with good flowering and fruiting habits. It grows in sun or partial shade and any garden soil. The fragrant pink flowers are produced in mid-spring. The red, orange or yellow fruit is most ornamental during the summer. Fruit and flower colors vary with the cultivar. Tartarian Honeysuckle is widely distributed throughout the US. Neat appearing shrub for screens and windbreaks. Dependable and hardy. Pale pink buds open to masses of white blooms.

Texana Nuttall Oak
The Texana Nuttall Oak tree, Quercus texana, also known as Spanish oak, Nuttall's oak, Texas red oak, Spotted Oak, Rock oak, and red river oak, is a large deciduous native tree of the red oak group. The Texana Nuttail tree has a wide-spreading, rounded crown. Fruits are oval acorns (to 1 1/2" long) with scaly cups. Dark green leaves (4-8" long) are deeply divided into 5-7 spiny, pointed lobes. Leaf shape is reminiscent of the closely related pin oaks and schumard oaks. Fall color comes late, but often includes quality shades of red. Species name is in reference to the state of Texas where this oak was apparently first identified. Gray-brown bark, initially thin and smooth, later developes narrow scaly ridges. The acorn matures in two seasons. The wood is used as red oak lumber. The acorns are eaten by water fowl and many small mammals.

Zumi Crabapple
The Zumi Crabapple tree, Malus x Zumi 'Calocarpa', is valued for its profuse, spring bloom of fragrant, white flowers and for its glossy, small, bright red crabapples which mature in the fall and often persist into December. A dense, rounded-to-spreading, deciduous tree which grows 12-20' high. The small fruits are edible, but not usually used in cooking. Fruits are long-lasting and attractive to birds. This deciduous tree has rich, dark green foliage. This crabapple is the standard for which other white flowering trees are compared. The flower buds are pink, foliage is green, disease resistance is excellent. In the fall, a long lasting display of small red fruit is offered. This is a semi-dwarf crabapple which is effective when planted as background for other early flowering plants, near fences, in groups as a screen or hedge, or as a specimen planting in the lawn or near the patio. May be used as a street tree.

Water Tupelo
The Water Tupelo tree, Nyssa aquatica, is also called the cottongum, sourgum, swamp tupelo, tupelo-gum, and water-gum. Water Tupelo trees are a large, long-lived trees that grow in southern swamps and flood plains where its root system is periodically under water. This deciduous tree has a swollen base that tapers to a long, clear bole and often occurs in pure stands. A good mature tree will produce commercial timber used for furniture and crates. Many kinds of wildlife eat the fruits and it is a favored honey tree. The fragrant flowers entice many visits from spring pollinators. The fall color is yellow to purple.

Sugar Maple
The Sugar Maple tree, Acer Saccharum, is one of our most majestic deciduous trees. It is excellent for large shade or lawn locations. The Sugar Maple has a dense crown with glossy dark green, heavily waxed leaves. It is one of our best trees for fall color when leaves turn brilliant red or yellow-orange. It is very shade tolerant and can grow easily under canopy created by older trees. The Sugar Maple is very drought tolerant, long-lived, and grows best in deep, fertile, well-drained soils. The sap of the Sugar Maple is often collected in the spring to make many flavorful confections. Does not do well in restricted root zone. It has majestic, brilliant fall color and dense shade.

D Anjou
The D'Anjo Pear is a large pear. The flesh is white with abundant juice and a sweet brisk flavor. It is a naturally sweet pear, light green in color with a yellow tinge when ripe. Anjou pears have exceptional keeping qualities. The best flavor is realized when stored 1-2 months. The tree is very hardy, large and highly productive. The D'Anjou does not change color as it ripens. Requires cross pollination with Bartlett or any other pear with the same bloom date.

Red Maple - October Glory
The October Glory Red Maple tree, Acer rubrum 'October Glory', is one of the best and most popular of the Red Maple cultivars. October Glory Red Maple trees are excellent for intense fall color and have a medium to fast growth rate. In the spring, red flowers in dense clusters form before the leaves.
