Dutchmans Pipe
Primarily grown for foliage. Dutchman's Pipe is an extremely vigorous vine that is often grown because its large, heart-shaped leaves make an excellent screen. The flowers are shaped like a Meerschaum pipe but are not highly orrnamental. The plant adapts to a wide range of growing conditions. It isnative to the Eastern U.S. and grows best in full sun or partial shade. The small flowers are a favorite food for pipe vine swallowtail butterfly larvae.

Goldenrain Tree-Chin. Flame
The Chinese Flame tree, Koelreuteria bipinnata, is a deciduous tree that has a round canopy. It is a medium to rapid growing tree with medium green oval leaves. The beautiful yellow flowers, 2" long, in clusters 8-14" long, bloom June-August. The seed pods are long and orange, red or salmon-colored papery in color. They are lantern-like in appearance, form in fall. Chinese Flame trees are drought tolerant and can tolerate poor drainage, poor soils, smog and temperature extremes. It does best in full sun. The deep, non-invasive roots rarely disturb sidewalks. The beautiful flower clusters attract birds and bees.

The Red Delicious apple is America?s favorite snacking apple.The Red Delicious is the most widely grown variety of apple in the world. Red Delicious apples have firm, white or cream white flesh that is juicy, aromatic, sweet tasting. They are best eaten raw because of their thick skin. The heart shaped fruit is bright red and sometimes exhibits some red striping. It is crunchy with a mildly sweet flavor. The Red Delicious is widely used in salads. Red Delicious apples look great for a long time so they are the favored choice for holiday centerpieces and wreaths. The fruit keeps fresh very well and can be found year around in stores.

London Sycamore
The London Sycamore tree, Platanus Acerifolia, or "Bloodgood Sycamore" is a large tree. The tree will reach a height of 85 feet and a spread of 70 feet. Pyramidal in youth, it develops a spreading rounded crown with age supported by a few, very large diameter branches. The bark is patchy and very attractive and may be the plants best ornamental attribute. These patches range from creamy-white to olive-green. Large sections of bark may be shed from the tree as it grows older. This deciduous tree is a fast growing shade tree. Unlike many other fast-growing shade trees, it?s not extremely weak wooded and thus isn?t prone to a lot of limb breakage in ice and snowstorms. London Sycamore trees are easily transplanted and will do well in most soils, but prefers a deep, rich soil. It?s also tolerant of city conditions, air pollution, compacted soils, and drought. It?s a very durable tree. As a big tree, it also provides lots of wonderful shade in parks.
